We Fight Monsters

Operation: Initium

Operation: Initium (Latin for "beginning") is a mission dedicated to empowering inner city youth (or adults who grew up there) to break free from negative environments and improve their lives. Our focus is on reducing recidivism and helping individuals who have previously fallen into selling dope for income find a better path forward once they've served their time.

Our current target:

Meet CJ (name changed), a 29-year-old man who was previously a gang member and drug dealer. Despite facing challenges such as serving prison time and being shot twice, CJ has made the brave decision to leave his past behind and start a new chapter.

He has assisted us previously as a volunteer on Operation: Sparrow, locating and helping recover missing and sex-trafficked women.

The man has fully demonstrated his commitment to this new way of living, and is going above and beyond to bring redemption to those around him who are still struggling.

With the support of Operation: Procyon, CJ has set his sights on obtaining his commercial driver's license, which will open up numerous job opportunities and provide him with the means to sustain a positive, fulfilling lifestyle.

The cost of the necessary classes is $4995, but with your help, we can make CJ's dream a reality. Any donation, no matter the amount, would be greatly appreciated - from $10 to $5000. Your generosity will play a critical role in CJ's journey towards a better future and a positive impact in his community.

Join us in making a difference and helping CJ turn his life around. Your donation will not only benefit CJ, and his entire community, but also serve as a testament to the power of second chances and the transformative impact of a supportive community.

Together, we can fight monsters and make a difference. Donate now and be a part of CJ's journey to a brighter tomorrow.

We Are The Dead

We are the Dead is a sister organization to Flanders Fields, to carry their mission to those encountered on the streets, on the dope track, in the prisons and in the hell of addiction or sex trafficking who aren't veterans. Nobody on the Flanders team will step over the dead bodies of civilians to save a vet, but within the confines of the charter, funding can only be allocated to veterans. The need to stand up a second org focused on non-veteran funding for rescues and recoveries was immediately apparent, and to date, the Flanders team has been funding these efforts out of their own pockets, but no more! We are the Dead gets it's name from the same poem by LtCol John McCrae that Flanders Fields got it's name from, which reads in part: "

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields."

We are here to restore life to those who were once dead to their addictions and the streets, for we were once the dead ourselves.
