"Behold them, your fields, your dark, your night. Tonight we make the worms unite in one pot of destruction." - Jack Kerouac, Dr. Sax
Growing up in small town Minnesota, relative was schooled by the local all-ages scene. They were lucky enough to see enough great local bands, combined with the regular show stoppers from Minneapolis -- bands like Dillinger Four, Man Afraid, Push on Junior, and Marcus Noise. These groups gave the band the inspiration and the direction to build a sound and an ethic to weather the trials of growing out of the teen angst punk band into something bigger and better. After their first full length album and US tour in 2001 and a short break up, the band lost all their equipment in a fire on the side of a Montana highway. Since then they’ve relocated to Chicago and have been slowly building themselves back to full force. They recently released “The Progress of Stagnation”, a 6 song EP, and their first venture back into the scene in 5 years.
